Food Production Club
The Food Production Club was formed in 1941 – prompted by the “Dig for Victory” campaign which was an answer to the threat of starvation posed by the Second World War. The objective of the three villages was to foster good relations, good gardening, to put food on our plates and clothes on our backs.
Since then the Club has evolved to embrace all aspects of gardening, food production, crafting, baking and so much more. There is an annual programme of events and activities throughout the year, an Annual Plant Sale in the Spring as well as the Annual Show.
